#93177 - Uip Slip Implementations
I am new to Tcpip programming for embedded systems and so as a learning process was trying to implement the Slip using the Uip Keil port of 8051 released by Murray R. Van Luyn as a starting point .I am using a 89V51RD2 microcontroller with external 32KB RAM .I followed the instruction of
setting the serial port modem ,
modified the serial cable and
changed the ip address in the code
set up the dial-up network etc .
But after many attempts it is not working .So i have a few doubts

Does Keil compiler automatically set and reset the Auxillary registers in 89v51rd2 for accessing internal and external Ram or we have to write the code for it.

By using hyperterminal how can i find out whether it my pc side software problem or my hardware side .Can you suggest commands in Slip using hyperterminal.(For eg When i give the
<AT>return key
it gives message OK in the hyperterminal).

Any more specific details please ask
Thanks for your patience and suggestions
Regards
Gopalakrishnan.N
