Can the 200ms reset pulse of a MAX691A connected to the RESET pin of an 89S52 whose DISTRO bit is cleared (So it's RESET pin is not merely input, but I/O) damage the internal circuitry of RESET pin?
Can the 98*Tosc reset pulse of the 89S52 WDT damage the RESET pin of MAX691A?
If YES, then should there be a small resistor or somethin placed between the two RESET pins?
Why Both MAX691A and WDT in a system?
MAX691A for ordinary supervisory and "watchdog"ing purposes and 89S52 WDT as a means of "manually rebooting" the device some 17ms(@11.05) after initializing WDT by not reloading it.
