#93378 - Program works until CAN is connected Responding to: ???'s previous message |
We are using the CC01 to poll a number of CAN nodes that are a mixture of CC01's and CC02's. After programming the CC01 with the CAN polling program (i do unmark BLJB in flip), and do a hardware reset without the CAN wires connected to the board the program starts successfully, ie i can see the CAN outputs from the uC via the LEDS. However, when we then attach the CAN wires to the board, the LEDs go out and the communications is lost. However, if we do the same procedure BUT straight from flip START APPLICATION without a hardware reset it works even with the CAN wires attached. As soon as we do a hardware reset, we loose comms??
We have EN permanently connected to Vcc (5v) and we have left ALE not connected. PSEN is normally left unconnected, and via a jumper is connected to ground when we want to enter bootloaded, also reset is connected to vcc via a 10uF capacitor, and when we want to enter bootloaded (after connecting PSEN to gnd), we connect RESET straight to vcc via a jumper (shorts out the cap) and then take off the jumper of both reset and PSEN. This allows us to enter bootloader mode and program the device in Flip. If this didnt work - we wouldnt be able to program the device, which we can. Any suggestions???? Could it be something in our software, causing the program to stop working when we attach the CAN wires or could it be hardware? Thanks... |
