#9339 - RE: Interfacing a motion detection sensor

I don't think its anything as sensitive and accurate as I've heard
users image. After all, its only dealing with the SUM of the IR
intensity in its viewing area, not a pixelation.

Hi Jaz :)

Exactly, exactly it is'nt accurate I used the term very sensitive
to give him the idea that it wont be easy to calibrate, what I
want to say was that it's not only the motion the the PIR sensors
senses but a lot more dont you think a combination of electro-optical
could enable measurements upto radiator displacement of about tenths of
second of arc? I have also seen span and ofset errors creeping in
randomly do you have any idea why that happens?

have a nice day
