I am recently involve in developing IR remote controll reciever using Philips RC5 codes and able to perform bit toggle at port1 of ATMEL 89c52.

I successfully decode the code for a standard philips TV remote and get the output tingled (on and off rapidly till concerned key pressed), but I could not get the idea ,how to toggle the bit , if I press the key once, a bit should be toggle the state and stable until the same keycode recieved and now the bit sould be toggle again and be stable as long as the power present.

also I need sample source code to control light dimmer funtion using VOL+/- keys of the same remote at any bit of MCU, that would be connected to any MOC3040 opto anr SCR to control dim function.

any idea /suggestion are welcome...
