This should be written: ANL A,#$0F (space between the ANL and the "A"). This ANDs the accumulator with the hex value 0F. If the accumulator held FF originally and you AND it with 0Fh, you'll get just 0Fh. I've usually seen this as ANL A,#0Fh but using a $ sign is another way of expressing a hex value. > ANLP1,#$F0 This does the same with P1, but ANDs it with F0 (hex).
