The 8051 remains entirely capable & suitable for new designs for which it is appropriate. The 8051 was never designed nor intended for such monster code sizes! I personally would switch if possible to an 32Bit or 16Bit controller Absolutely - then you wouldn't have this problem of trying to kludge your tools to work with your kludged design! |
