Yes your approach looks alright. There has been one post outlining a 16 bit hex to BCD and you can make use of it. And just in case you want some more such odds and bits of code snippets maybe you can visit http://www.8052.com/users/RRAGHU/CODELIB.ASM It is a collection of various small ASM routines like what you want ,that I have come across and used. I have been for long wanting to make it more neat and clean - never happened. And just as a friendly advice, just don't take criticism too seriously. Some remarks "may" look offensive, but for a moment if you take it easy and reply in simple words, you will be amazed at the kind response from the same person. Regards raghu |
