Read past topics to do with these searches and you will have loads of information

The most common way is using the COM port on your PC (a lot of them still have them) to communicate with any micro-controller with a UART and a MAX232 (or some RS-232 to logic level converter. This is not the only way of course, but in my opinion, the easiest
