I don't read your RTC datasheet
but if your RTC have internal backup battery check RTC hold time,For example M48T86 (from STMicroelectronics)have a mark on top of ic package that indicates time of generation 0452 means that ic at 52th weeks from 2004 is manufactured According to the ic datasheet(that you can download from the web) ic hold time is only 10 years after manufacturing Regards Mehdi |
