Has anybody out there got the aduc832 micro working with the uart in mode1 using the high resolution timer 3?

This seems to be a combo i cant get to work like it says in the documentation. On bytes coming in , RI gets set and everything works nice. But Setting SBUF never makes TI go high, and im not seeing anything coming out on my scope. I really would like timer3 doing the baud so i can dedicate the other timers for more important things.
