If it's really a master-multiple slaves case, you can omit the multidrop buses (which almost always require more sophisticated than trivial protocol) and implement a trivial star topology, with the master multiplexing the Rx and Tx lines between the slaves.
You lose nothing in terms of transmission speed, and you gain simplicity. Jan Waclawek |
