Am developing a Data Logger, Am using an AT89C52 MicroController (8051 Family) with AT28C16 EEPROM, the datasheet of the EEPROM saying that, it has the same interface like SRAM, am connecting

the AT89C52 to the AT28C16 following the NVRAM/8051 pins connection in the 8051 Mazidi Book (page 297, figure 14-18 accessing 256k*8 External NV-RAM) which connecting the 8051 with a NVRAM via a latch, my question is that, does AT89C52 MOVX instruction can drive the AT28C16 EEPROM ???
or in another words, does AT28C16 interface accept the MOVX instruction of AT89C52?? (Can i replace the NV-RAM with AT28C16 EEPROM)if yes, is it require a special pin connections other than the pins connections of NVRAM or
tell me the pin connections between them ?

Please Answer ASAP, as it a graduation project ISSUE..
