Dear Alex,
I have connected the pin P3.5 to a relay to activate an external load. Everything works but each time I push the reset the relay goes off because the CPU puts, during the reset, P3.5 HIGH. Thats normal all 8051 port pins go high while reset. It seems you are driving the relay coil using a NPN transistor to avoid this problem use a PNP configuration for driving the relay coil. This will not trigger the relay during reset. Regards, Prahlad |
