It's not even overtly political in the context of today's current events since it celebrates something that happened over 200 years ago and is, anymore, just a great excuse for Americans to get together with friends and family, have a BBQ, have a good time, and watch some fireworks. What's controversial about that? Is Americans celebrating their country and having a good time now controversial? I don't accept that. But with that, this thread is closed for the reasons I previously indicated--specifically that the thread is about the 4th of July, which is now in the past.
