#96832 - A stunt |
Hi forum
Got a tricky question. My new xyz gismo - wich has a AT89C51RB2 engine - should of course also include a supervisor chip. I am used to stuff like DS1707, wich fit in. I dont need the PFI, but its okay. Until I saw, that I can get a DS1232 for about one third the price of a DS1707. The tricky part is, that the 1232 device contains a watchdog, that can't be disabled. I dont need it; my micro has an internal dog. Is it okay to simply connect the trigger to the ALE, and forget about it?. I my head, its NOT quite okay, but I can save a nice bunch of $'s! Any comment apreachiated og ha' en god weekend!
