I am looking at using the 8051 for send and receive of data using vhf and uhf 2-way radios. Backend processing chores are handled by PCs using the Java programming language for scalability. In the future, when prices for broadband components become affordable to us, everything will be hooked up to the Internet.

Although we are not doing any actual design works right now, our project proposal must contain as much relialistic details as possible. This is not a high-tech project but is definitely tedious to start from scratch without leveraging on the works of others.
