Hi Richard,
Take a look at the stuff from Steatite group in the UK, they have a huge range of cards starting at about 270 quid. That seems to get me a raw motherboard for a 486 or clone, VGA/LCD dual serial and a printer port. There is a flashdisk of from 1 - 64 Meg on board as well.
