The idea of how to use proper filtering and grounding can also be seen in the following schematic I prepared for someone else in this forum some time ago. It doesn't actually show your ADUC841, but can easily be adapted for your needs: Just assume, that MCP3201 is the analog section of your ADUC841.
![]() Think about why the grounding is managed as above. Where only can digital ground return currents flow? Only in the digital section. Why are filters necessary? Not only to minimize supply ripple in the analog section, but also to prevent ground return currents from flowing across the analog ground. Kai |
