you must write your program endless.
E.g., if your washing machine has finished it execute still the key input routine and wait until you start the next washing process.

Its similiar to the operating system on your PC, which also never ends. Means you can write the next letter without switching on your PC again (mostly).

If you really want to stop the CPU forever, you can enter the power down mode.
