I have a lithium Ion (cell-phone) battery that has 3 cells of whom I don't know the manufacturer. I DO know that the pack provides 890mAH at a nominal 11.1 volts. I also know that my circuit, when loaded utilizes 30mA of current. First, Phillip, please take care with Lithium Ion batteries. Handling them unproperly can cause serious danger! I would recommend you not to do any calculations, but to check it out practically. Take some identical packs, discharge them with expected load current at expected ambient temperature and charge them by the help of a proper charger. Repeat this periodically and just measure the voltage as function of time. Then you get a feeling about what's going on with your Lithium Ion battery. Kai |
