Still opinion = subjective argument. I have tried a number of times to find out "what the hell was going on" in a cpu that was trying to do 22 things at the same time (timeshared RTOS + interrupts) and will at any time rather make one cpu do one task well and then leave it alone while working on the next. PLEASE NOTE: this argument is totally invalid if the production count is large enough to make parts more costly than engineering. I do, however, find it silly to spend 25 engineering hours to save 10 bucks if the planned production is 5 units. |
