I think the first method that comes to mind would be using a LM567 tone detector ic. You could also use a micro - especially the smaller ones would be quite economical for this task. Last week I designed a little board to flash some lights - I could've used a 555 timer and 4017 ring counter, but I used a HC08QY4 micro and wrote the code in 'c'. The micro cost less than $2USD. Philips have their lpc9xx series that would suit this task. |
