For a fixed pointer, I'd do the MOV dptr,#pointer one.
For a variable pointer, I would allocate two 8 bit variables storing H and L and loading them into DPH and DPL before use, probably saving the old DPH and DPL values first. Depends a bit on what you want to achieve. |
