did you set the frequency at all? I have just tried with a P89C51RD2H the full erase, and if I set the frequency to 0 or to 22 (22MHz crystal), in both cases it takes approx. 10 sec. If I put in a 12MHz crystal, it takes approx. 15 sec for both settings (0 and 12). But if I set the frequency to FFh (at the 12MHz crystal), it took 50 s - this time sounds similar, doesn't it?
