i want to connect number of devices through RS-422. In order to connect those devices to PC i used conversion circuit for RS-422 to RS-232. But the problem is that i am unable to set the unit addresses for the devices i connected and how can i communicate with a particular device using RS-232 to RS-422 to the device through PC.
Some posts (search) from long ago, if I recall correctly, had a means of bending, folding and mutilating a PC to send 9 bit codes. What I have done is to use a "master '51" that talk to the PC on one UART and talk to the other devices on another. Why are you using 422, not 485? Erik |
