Steve, I know about converters from PICASM to AVRASM and vice versa, but I don't know about AVR to 51 ASM converter.
AVR is a good architecture and it will do you good if you'll take a good look at it. Imagine that you can execute your interrupt task at 40 us rate at 4 MHz clock. (dual Triac firing control & RF433 remote control receiving). I can't imagine doing that with 51 derivate. But anyway, do you know, what made a man invent the wheel?
