Thanks for answering my post about the digital pot. I checked with an ohm meter and the 2k Mechanical pot is connected to Pin 1, Pin 3 (center tap of the 2k pot), Pin 8 of a PIC16F870. I looked at the data sheet for the PIC and it must be the inputs to the A/D converter. I have never done any work with PIC's and just starting with 8052 to try and control this water heater. Got any suggestions as to where I can get a Digital Pot this small? I will email Maxim and any other digital pot manufacturers also. Thanks Mike Ruoppoli |
