A lot of work under the "IT" name is not really "software related" - certainly not software development; eg, user support, hardware support; installation & maintenance; networking; etc, etc... eg, a lot of "IT" people are going to be having their work cut out with all the issues surrounding Vista, devising roll-out plans, supporting installs & updates, etc, etc,... A lot of jobs described as "IT" are just call-centre operators, just following a script with little or no technical input. |
