These are two issues: You can decrease the ripple by a suited filter, but the average output voltage will still decrease. A suited filter consists of two big storage caps, connected by a choke (pi-filter). But this choke must be huge to allow a low corner frequency to remove the ripple and to not go into saturation with the high currents. Another way would be the active regulation, by the help of step-up/down regulator. Kai |
