- As far as ease of use goes.
Some people on this forum avoid C like the plague, others are quite comfortable with it. CAN interface programming can be a bit brain cell intensive. Myself being more comfortable in C would (and actually did a few years ago) choose C for such a project. A good cross C compiler (such as Keil) can cost you > 2000USD and generates compact assembly from the C code. A free C compiler (such as GNU) can cost you ZIP except for time spent getting it going. I believe there are free assemblers on the web but am not knowledgeable enough to discuss Good luck |
