That's one of the things that makes open source more secure. Microsoft has had vulnerabilities that have gone unpatched for years. That doesn't happen with open source; patches are typically available within days, sometimes hours, of discovery of a vulnerability.
... how much does it help getting a patch after you have been hit? PS does "discovery of a vulnerability" not disprove your statement about Linux being secure? Erik |
