#157124 - Data throughput Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Thanks for the links and two of them actually had 802.11b/g wireless connectivity built in.
All well but not easy to start learning the entire TCP/IP stuff and then go about doing what I wanted to initially : send in data acquired from two analog channels from a MCU to a PC with a distance of about 100m between them ! I just worked out the basic data rate required : (12bits+space)x 2 = 5 bytes And at a rate of 100Hz, this will be 500 bytes/sec or 0.5kBps ! I am not sure how much will be the additional bytes, if I were to handle this in TCP/IP, but that may not be much ?? Raghu |
