I have mentioned asem (OK, I forgot the "-51" ;-) ) as item 2 above. It failed to install, with the computer freezing spectacularly after repeated attempts; and as a side-effect it #@$^ed up dpkg's database, so now I am unable to install/uninstall other packages, too... It appears to be working after being "manually" unpacked, though. JW |
