With only one frequency to consider, it shouldn't be too difficult to get the distortion down quite a bit.
For a low-cost, low-distortion, fixed frequency sine wave oscillator, it's hard to beat the Wien Bridge type. http://www.calvin.edu/~pribeiro...lators.pdf http://www.ecircuitcenter.com/Circuits/...opwien.htm Simple cost calculation supports this for fixed-frequency applications. Various op-amp manufacturers have application notes that show how to generate that sinwave, phase-shift it as required, etc. DDS is a great techninque, but it's not cheap to implement. RE |
