#172025 - Very useful (but still some confusion) Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Thanks you guys! These were extremely helpful. I am working on the circuit schematic from Kai. I am a bit confused on some parts. I hope you guys can help me out.
(1) Is forward transconductance same as mutual conductance? (gm equals Yfs ??) (2)On the datasheet (on fig 1), there is a curve on the left (with Vds=10V and Idss). I could not figure out what this curve is for. The graph label says it is a "Idss vs Vgs cut-off curve". But, Idss (by definition) means Id value at Vgs=0V(and Id should be 0 at Vgs=cutoff, isnt it?). Quite confusing! (3)There is Rds-Vgs curve on the datasheet (fig 4). This shows Rds is maximum at Vgs=0! My lab tests shows exact opposite of the curve. Is not Rds=Vds/Id? |
