I've done some Java and there are a couple of applets on my website. Try my Opamp chooser or my E series searcher. One thing to be aware of is that the 'run anywhere' philosophy means that it's pretty hard to control hardware.
What I really like about Java is that they took C++ and improved it, without breaking anything through unnecessary changes. Strings work a bit differently (with good reason) and the lack of pointers takes a bit of getting used to. What's really good is the way they have replaced multiple inheritance with interfaces. |
