Quite possibly so - I won't argue with that.

My point is that, just because any chip is better at, say, DSP, does not make it a Better Chip - it just makes it more suited to that particular task.
Choose another task, and a different chip may be better suited.

Nothing at all!
In fact, taking my argument, it is best to know more than one MCU - so that you are then in a position to choose whichever one is most appropriate for the particular task at hand!
