when I enable checksum generation in the IAR IDE I get:
ielftool error: The string '__checksum' was not found in the string table

then when I include "unsigned short __checksum;" I get:
Error[Li006]: duplicate definitions for "__checksum"; in "C:TORCHSourceTherapyReleaseObjglobals.o", and "Place holder __checksum"

nowhere (that I can find) in the literature is there a reference to "string table" or "Place holder"

any suggestions
