I met up with a PCB layout guy I work with and he was working on the toughest layout I'd ever seen! The PCB was only 50mm by 35mm, but it had a high pincount BGA on one side and QFPs on the other. There was also a 10 GHz RF section and a few high speed differential pairs. He was using 10 layers, with microvias on the outer layers and buried vias on the inner 8 layers! |
