The schematic with direct driven bipolar transistors can be found on the original Intel, Philips, AMD, ... application notes.
So it must be proven as reliable. This I would take with a grain of salt. There are for example in the littrature for many of the flash parts statements like "you must use a supervisor" and for the same parts schematics in the manufacturers litterature showing RC resets. I would never rely on "shown in a appnote" as gospel truth. Erik |
