#100807 - the problem is your eyeballs, not your d Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The problem is it appears as if there were more LEDs on the board than they exist. If for example the character "I". This character is two column wide in the centre. When rolling it appears as if it were made of 4 or 5 LEDs.
the problem is your eyeballs, not your display. Your eyeballs "remember" for a while what it saw and thus "remember" some columns back while seeing the current. To convince yourself, reduce the scroll speed to dead slow and you will see the characters narrowing. We have special Trompe l'oeil fonts for scrolling displays just because of this phenomena. You have no technical problem, you just happen to have eyes of the same design as mot of us. Erik PS when searching on e.g. Google do not use "rolling" what you are doing is commonly called "scrolling" display. |
