Well, only very indirectly: more code requires more memory to store it in, which could affect power consumption.



I was thinking along the lines of a device that spends a lot of time in idle mode. Wake up, do something, go back to sleep. The faster you complete your tasks out of idle mode and go back to sleep, the less power you use. You really can't answer the question until you know more about the problem/circuit...
