#101060 - I2C & SPI shared clock line |
Hi all
I am short of one pin on my LPC925 and want to implement a bit banged SPI port, I have the I2C port in use to I2C devices, and would like to use the SCL line as an IO line for the SPI. I was thinking of using it as the CS or the CLOCK line to the SPI. I would not be using the SPI and the I2C similtaenously. The questions are. 1. Can anyone see any adverse effects of doing this? 2. Are there any "gotchas" in doing it 3. Will the I2C devices behave erratically if there is a CLOCK on the SCL line, in potentially the wrong format. Thanks, appreciate any responses. Regards Marshall |
