#101148 - No, do it in the interrupt
Responding to: ???'s previous message
void puerto_serial_event() interrupt 4{
    if(TI==1){          //if transmition occurs
        TI=0;           //clears TI
        if (String[index] !=0) ////////////here
        SBUF = String[index];  ////////////here
        index++                ////////////here
    }

    if (RI==1){       //if reception occurs
........

to start transmission from main:
index = 0;
TI = 1;

obviously you will need to refine the code a bit to allow for more than one string to be transmitted, have fun
