Standard RF modulators are very slowly, only less than 10kBaud. Keeping in mind, that an enormous amount of transmission speed is wasted and code is needed to increase redundance of transmission in order to be able to correct transmission errors, I guess, that using these annoying cables might be the better solution, finally.
