#101915 - 8051 Stock Checker Machine |
Hi, I have a Stock Checking machine which I acquired from a catalogue shop. It has a RJ45 connector on the machine, I was wondering if this could be used for serial communication. I have tried Ethernet and Token Ring, with no success. I was wondering if I purchase a converter from RJ45 to DB9 would this possibly allow me to communicate with my Device. I want to try and somehow get this device working with my computer, e.g. set up a simple database and check for stock. This would require me to write a program, which I think I could do. I just need to gain connectivity to the device. Any ideas at all would be great.
I am totally new to the 8051 and circuitry stuff, but I think I will be able to do this. The chip is a Temic P-80C32-12. Thanks Andy |
