Hi Paul,
When Atmel ships a 'CC0n its fuse bits are set so the bootloader automatically runs. After programming you need to reset this bit, otherwise instead of the application running the bootloader runs again. Once your application is running you can run the bootloader again by forcing PSEN low when Reset is active. The datasheet's "hardware boot process algorithm" explains it nicely. Dennis |
