I have downloaded the datasheet already. Can I use 89c52 to control APR6008? Or is it that only 68HC11 can be used for SPI?

If I am using 89c52, then should I use Rx and Tx pins for control? can i implement my normal serial communication routine here?

A schematic is given on 2nd last page of datasheet? which controller is used in schematic?
