The above instructions should produce a 500 khz (12 Mhz crystal on a 12 clocker) signal.are you saying that increasing the crystal frequency to 24Mhz would produce a 1Mhz signal on the P!.0 with the same rise time as we had with the 12 Mhz crystal ?
Yes, the risetime would be the same. Just as an example, look at a non-clocked part such as a 74HC00. The risetime is specified and the unit Hz can not be found in the datasheet. BTW the frequency would be 333 or 666 kHz. Erik |
